well i dont think u can associate science with marriage, but the more women u marry means the more sex you would have, and the scientific reason for sex is to have children

Well, this is a Mormon question if I've ever seen one.
A scientific reason? No.
In fact, science now allows women to have babies without men at all.
Science would show that women don't need to marry men at all.
So, why would any woman ever want a man who wants more than one wife.
Absurd and ridiculous!
Your question should be is there any antiquated religious reason that supports men marrying more than one woman?

Well, a man is physically capable of fathering well more than one child at a time, while a woman is limited to around one a year (barring multiple births, of course.)

So, in order to have as many children as possible, a man should have more than one wife. But I can also see where that would NOT be an ideal thing. Staying faithful to one woman would limit the number of mouths a man would have to feed. (Presuming that the women in this scenario are so busy having babies that they don't get off maternity leave that often.)

Getting married is a religious thing...has nothing to do with science.

The male of any species tries to procreate with as many females as possible in order to ensure their survival. But us humans don't have that need so there is no "scientific" reason for multiple wives.

A male can impregnate any number of women. A woman only needs to get pregnate, to fulfill her basic purpose in life. Some societies prefer that impregnation only occurs between married adults.

He'll have more kids, so he will contribute to the continuation of the species, but he will die of twice the nagging and headaches. Overall, I would say that is NOT a good trade-off.
