zidane definitely surprised people...especially in the game against brasil.
the best of world cup 06...there were quite a few in my book....
~ argentina vs serbia & montenegro....6-0.
~ ghana beating the united states.
~ ricardo stopping 3 english penalty kicks so portugal could go to the semi-finals for the first time in 30 years.
~ portugal vs the netherlands....the most red cards and yellow cards given in a match...probably ever.
~ italy scoring twice against germany in the semi-finals with only seconds left until penalty kicks.
~ rooney getting a red card for being a jerk...and cristiano ronaldo winking....hahahahah!!

I was impressed by Australia and the African teams. How many African teams made the cup while both Ireland and Scotland didn't? The story behind the Ivory Coast team was very moving too.
