It is the one thing that all the religions teach, but yet we never live up to it. We will throw religion at each other to hurt one another, to keep borders between us. I have often pondered this question also - what is it about the human make-up that keeps us from practicing that one pure truth? We seem genetically inclined to judge, hate, and make war...we sabotage our own happiness every day. We would rather discuss what we think God wants (like about gay marriages, whose religion is 'better', who has the right to do this or that) and bicker about it until doomsday. Everyone has their opinions and feels confidant they speak in the name of God....yet more wars have been over religion than I think any other....and yet "LOVE one another" (in the spiritual sense) is the message they all claim to believe in first and fore-most.

I agree. Its not about being right, its about love. It even says in the bible that 'God' is love yet a lot of Christians I see are more hateful and judgemental than anyone else. Love is the answer

I don't think people will realize it until they are dead (if there is an afterlife). We all deserve our rights, and we SHOULD love one another but that won't happen. Unfortunately love/hate,good/bad,caring/indifference,intelligence/ignorance is what makes this world go round. If we all could tap into the genuine greatness that we all withhold, we would be a better world. RAINBOW PRIDE!!!!

We absolutely should love. But love is not a sexual thing. Sex isn't even a part of true love. True love comes from the heart and is shown through action, not physical reaction. Gay's can love and be loved, but homosexual activity should not be condoned simply for the sake of not wanting to judge. Just as child rape shouldn't be condoned simply because we do not want to judge the rapist. Love the sinner, hate the sin, in all cases without exception.

Nice thought but it won't ever happen as long as human beings inhabit the earth. Few people can just "wake up" one day and "realize" that their behavior is wrong, or that they should even question it. Hate and prejudice are so deep-seated and people are more vested in validating their reasons for it rather than changing.

People will never realize. People are so stuck on thier ideas and what they belive, that they will never try and understand what other people belive. All we can do is take it one person at a time, maybe oneday we can get at least some people on our side, to love everyone, no matter what they belive, or look like.

They know it they just don't want to do it. Everyone knows that.
You either believe the way I do or I'm going to kill you. That's it.
No if's an's or what ever.
You just have to die until everyone believes the way I do.
It is called a control freak!
Acceptance is not a big part of any religious belief.
They all think they are right and if you don't agree like i said you have to die

well, if it was realized by everyone, then, by default, love will have changed the world.
I personally live by the Vulcan (see Star Trek:TOS) philosophy that logic is the key to survival, and we all need to take a chill pill.
