In the Illinois elections, I actually voted for his opponent, not because I thought Alan Keyes would be good in the job, but because I knew the election would be wildly lopsided for Obama. As it was, I think Obama won 80% or more of the vote.
Barak Obama runs the risk of just spouting platitudes about equality. Read what he says carefully and look for the underlying judgment and experience. I think he will be a good candidate, but not yet. Sometimes, wisdom comes with age (Harry Belafonte, notwithstanding)

I would say no based on his history of pushing more social programs. He also contributes to our current energy crisis by his vote on ethonal import tariffs, and then blames others.
