Nationwide. By creating legislation that provides more equality and fairness. Also, by enforcing the monopoly laws that are being ignored.
Worldwide. This would require a revolution on the global level.

As noble as that idea is, it's not something you want to have happen as badly as you might think. As cold as it sounds, the rich and the poor each serve their purposes, (with the exception of athletes and entertainers). And. yes, there are people whoes anual incomes are absolutely obscene, as opposed to the homeless. But, at the same time, there have been government projects where the homeless were moved into dwellings and given a stipend to live on, and most of them moved back out onto the streets. It's supposed to have something to do with their sense of independence. What's discouraging are the predictions that there will come a day when there will no longer be viable middle class. All that will be left is the rich and the poor.

Limit the government and lower taxes. The more money I make, the more I can spend. That means that someone else (poor person) will make more money. Capitalism is a never ending cycle until some outside force screws with it, like the government. Life is not always fair and this world is governed by the golden rule "He who has the gold, makes the rules".
I'm not rich, but as soon as I learned this lesson I taught myself how to make money.

Stop giving breaks to the rich. Tax everyone the same. We are supposed to be equal, aren't we? Then why are certain ones given things just because they already have everything they need? If you have enough then you can buy whatever it is you want. Equality out the window. Who has ever made it in politics that wasn't already well off or became well off soon after getting into office.

hmmmm!
USA has been saying "Get an education" for over 40 years now (kinda like "smoking is bad for your health"). Yet people continue to waller in stupidity.
They quit school
They don't study. They get passed along so they'll feel better.
They blame teachers and schools
They make babies
They max out credit cards
They don't manage their spending
They curse the rich
They keep quitting their jobs
They're not productive on the job
etc.
My suggestion: WAKE UP!!!

Warren Buffet just donated 37Billion dollars to the Gates foundation. He could have donated 36Billion and given every American citizen (man / woman/ child) 1 Million dollars and still had change left over. That would help all of us a great deal.

I am a Muslim and we have some religious rules for this, e.g rich people have to give 1/40 of his money to poor people, especially in Ramadan.Charities are also favourable in our religion, when someone builds one we believe that people who get help from it prays for him and than he shall go to heaven when he is dead.also if the poor does'nt complain they will be rewarded in Hereafter you can look it up in Kur'an

Well, that's already been tried, remember communism? Its great in theory, but in practice it is a disaster. As long as you have greed in the world, there will always be a gap between rich and poor....
