I'm kind of worried. you see that I was born earlier than I was supposed to. so I weight lighter than most babies when I was born. Now I am 5'5, and I weight around 88lb-89lb. you probably can't tell, but I do eat a lot. but no matter how much I eat, I just don't gain weight...is that bad?

I went to doctors already, and they tested for tapeworms and everything, but the result came out negative, so there is nothing wrong with me, but I just don't gain weight.... my stomach is like a flat 21 inch no matter how much I eat

I don't think its "normal" but if it feels okay to you then what should it matter? Be okay with yourself. Don't worry about it so much. As long as you are eating and not starving yourself, then I wouldn't worry about it.

It is possible that this is just part of your growth spurt and the weight will come on with age.
I also suspect that while you say you "eat a lot," you really aren't coming close to what you need. I have had very thin friends (who were not anorexic) who said they ate whatever they wanted, but they were basicallly light eaters.
Unfortunately your weight is really unhealthy. Try keeping a food diary. You can do it online at http://www.fitday.com for free. You will have to input information off the food labels for some prepackaged foods but once you do that, it is pretty fast and easy.
You should be able to input a goal weight (let's say shoot for something modest like 110lbs), and it will tell you how many calories you should be consuming. If you list your activities every day, it will compare what you've burned with what you have eaten.
I suspect that the information you will get there will open your eyes to what is really happening and you can use that to make necessary changes.
In the meantime, you should consider adding some richer foods to your diet; not unhealthy junk but more meats and dairy. You can also buy nutritional shakes that help add bulk.
You can also add some weight training to help build healthy muscle. That will certainly make you stronger and look better, even though it too burns calories.
So check out what you are really doing and see.

That is not good at all.....you are extremely under your weight limit....I would recommend going to the doctor and getting your stomach and colon tested to make sure you're absorbing your food. And seeing a nutritionist....otherwise people will think you're anorexic and start worrying
You should weigh 117-130 for being that tall....and that's with a small frame....check out this website~!

Thats underwieght, no thats not really normal.
A small percentage of the population has that body type and metabolism, while that sounds terribly unhealthy that might just be the way that you are.
Keep eating healthy and have regular check ups by a doctor to make sure you are not suffering from malnourishment

You are very thin and probably a little malnourished. If you were a premature baby, that would explain it for a time but now it seems like your body isn't processing nutrients and fats correctly. You'll probably need to see a doctor and nutritionist for advice on how to get up to a healthy weight.

i dont know...something is wrong because im 5'4 and i weight 130...at your height you should be weighing between 119-130 lbs....i dont think that the fact that you were born earlier has anything to do with now...you should just ask your doctor instead of yahoo ppl
