When I upload music from any CD (store bought and burned) onto my laptop into iTunes they just show up as the track numbers, there are no song titles. Even when I export them onto my iPod they show up as Track 01, 02, etc... Do I have to be connected to the internet for titles to work? Shouldn't the CD itself already be encoded with the song titles? Thanks for your help!

if you have dial up, you have to do everything manually ={, but if you have high speed then it automatically looks for the cd and fills out the info. if you want to put info on manually,

1. go into itunes.
2.select a song.
3. right click. it should bring up a menu.
4. choose "get info" from the menu. it should be at the top.
5. Fill in all the information you know, or go online and look up the cd on google. for instance, if you were looking for the cd out of exile by audioslave, type in "out of exile album". it should pop right up.
6. if you cick google images, you can look for artwork as well.
