works with some horses, not with others. just like almost everything else about horses. no one size fits all answers.

Natural hoof care is great no steel shoes but you will still need to farier to trim the hoof in order to make sure the hoof walls stay strong and that they do not get over grown. Also it is a good idea to keep a set of easy boots just incase you have to ride in rocky areas.
