Why is it that news networks such as CNN, Fox News and many others get away with spreading the propaganda of the terrorists? Surely the material they show only has the intention of spreading fear and thus should be considered an act of terrorism? What good can come from showing Bin Laden movie clips and publicising the threats that the terrorists make?

Aiding and abetting is the charge which can tone down their reporting .They should instead show how the Americans are valiantly fighting the terrorists,in all the theatres and get special awards for the real hero's.Collect funds for the help of the families struck by the terrorists.
Let Americans not die of the shame of human rights,life of the innocents is of more important then that of the terrorists.The terrorists are on the job of killing where as the Americans are defending the innocents at various theatres of war ,so that terrorism does not reach the door-steps of the Americans.CNN and FOX NEWS has to realise this.

I think from the networks point of view, it's mostly about the ratings....the more horrorific, the better response from, not only their peers, and co-workers, but also americans themselves.....Lets face it, if people are scared they're going to talk more than if they weren't. I think there are probably 2 main reactions from showing bin ladens face on television....to either scare americans and show them some of the reality of all of this terrorism or secondly to show his face to put more fuel on the fire in their hearts to want to support their country even more.

Because the same people that own and/or control these networks are the same people that are going to profit from the upcoming World War that will be born out of our "counter-terrorist" objectives. I mean why would we fight someone we do not have anything to be scared of? So we must be scared of them, and these "terrorist" tactics permeate all levels of media as opposed to just the news netowrks.

I have often wonder the same thing. They give away our s "secret" ways of handling terrorists as well. They also report on national news things like "As soon as Castro dies we have a plan to take over Cuba." But shhhhh Cuba doesn't know? what!!!!!??? It's all for ratings because this country lives for drama.
