I clean carpets for a living. First get a regular men's hair comb, and try combing upwards to loosen as much as the paint. Second, try presoaking with some carpet cleaner, put a cloth on top on the paint, then a hot iron to soften up the paint. Also the hot iron will steam the carpet cleaner down into the fibers hopefully aiding in loosening the paint. Now using a nail brush, scrub. Use the hair comb to free as much as you can. If the paint has penetrated into the fibers that might be harder, best of luck.

What ever you use test it in the corner of a closet first let it dry for 24hrs to see if it hurts the carpet. I have installed carpet for 19 yrs, do not put any thing directly on the carpet, use a white wash cloth put paint thinner or solvent on the cloth and dab it gently on the spot let it sit for 15 sec and repeat as needed the paint will soften and will peal off easily. This also works with glue and gum. have patience and don't get to much cleaner on carpet, remember do not put whatever you use directly on the carpet.

You either cut it out,try paint remover, although this could remove color from the carpet.Your best bet is to cut a small sample of the carpet of and take that to a hardware store to get a color matching paint and just paint over the small spot with the paint color that matches the carpet.

I have had this problem before. The absolute BEST thing to use is Woolite Oxy in the blue bottle. Just spray it on until you cant see the paint anymore and then let it set for about a minute and then get a soft brush and brush it away. Works wonders. I used it on my burber carpet and it worked great. It also works great for blood. My dog went into heat and got blood on everything before we knew it, and it took blood out of everything effortlessly. Hope this helps!

GooGone! If that doesn't work, acetone fingernail polish (in fact, try that first- it's cheaper).

Don't dump the acetone on your carpet! Just put some on a paper towel and let it soak into the paint. Remember that the acetone can mess with the glue in your carpet so just put it on the paint and let it soak in, then it should come free.
