Poverty is something that cannot be ended within typical means.

For instance, There are (x) buisnesses with the needs of (y) employees. Now lets assume that there are (z) people in a town or city.

As long as (y / x < z) there will always be poverty.

Now lets put this into a more real perspective...

Lets us assume the some small city, has 50,000 people and there are 2100 buisnesses with the need of about 12 people each.

2100 * 12 = 25200
25200 - 50000 = -24800

Thats 24,800 people who have to find jobs elsewhere.

Multiply this by say 100 towns and cities.

thats 248,000 people who need work.

My second answer would be to ban igonorant people or substance abusing people from having kids. Ignorance is the main cause of poverty. If you eliminate ignorance you will wipe out the main reason to be poor, unless there is another Great Depression. Also economic development is very important.

You can't do it by taxing the rich or the corporations. Corporations simply raise their prices and the increased cost of living is put upon the poor and middle class. If you tax the rich they buy their new cars, boats and homes less often, and invest less in the market and this simply leads to a loss of jobs.

The way to end poverty in any continent, any country, city or state is to simply get the corrupted governors, presidents etc. out. Somehow the people can manage to squeeze that cash out and share it with the needed. Revolution is the answer.
