Truth of Back to the Future 4?

Ok please pay attention to my answer because I promise you its true.

In about 1997 I heard a rumor of a BTTF 4. But then i didnt hear anything else about it. In 2000 I was living in Las Vegas and made a trip one day to Los Angelos with my brother who was gonna do some video editing (computer stuff) for a friend. I decided to take the Universal Studios tour.

One part of U.S. was a BTTF special effects set look at deal.
I stopped the guide at one point and asked him if there had ever been plans for a part 4.

He told me that not only was there a 4 but also a 5.

However when Fox retired due to his illness in 1998 this plan was put at least on hold.

Ok thats half of the deal.

Not long ago I came upon some more... direct information on the first attempt of making a part 4

Back in about 1994 they started considering a part 4 and would have done so, but someone (didnt get a name or why) set fire to the downtown set of BTTF which is now the downtown part of US.
That has been rebuilt (seen it in Jim Carrey's God movie) but it was not able to be done in time to make the 4th movie.

There has in the last few years been talk (in forums and articles around hollywood) of a new plan to make at least a part 4. Fox is rumored to be in it, but it is either a smaller role (maybe the proffesor) or him doing a smaller type adventure story (because of his illness).

Also rumors of a new cast including Ben Afleck as the new main star have come up.

ok let me say this.. Besides the information I got in 2000 and the information i got about 1994 yes its all rumors. But thsoe are facts. I got the 1994 information directly from the studio. I emailed them and asked them about if they ahd ever planned to make a part 4

Christopher Lloyd says he hasn't been contacted about it. Can't imagine a new BTTF without him.

I have no idea if its true, but putting Ben Affleck in as a replacement would be a mistake. Michael J. Fox was the character, I don't think it would be a good idea to try to change it up, especially this late in the game. I mean some people might like a comeback, but if Fox can't do it I wouldn't want to see it.

I heard about it on IMBD but its false. There are no plans now to release anymore..its been over ten years and Fox hasn't been able to act as much anymore with his disease and chistropher Llyod is getting older...but there have been rumors of Ben Affleck taking over their roles...but its just not back to the future without llyod and fox.

There was also actual PLANS to make GB3 but Ramos and either dan or bill had a fued with him and the plan was scrapped. They even wrote out a script for it but...

Fox is expected to be the professor/doc.

No word on Affleck, maybe Casey, Ben is too old

But the movie is supposedly in the can and in editing

ITS ALL RUMORS BTTF ended with PART 3 and I'm glad it did, no need to ruin it with another 4th installment, would be to weird and to much time has elapsed. Think about it logically...

I am a HUGE Back to the Future fan, but I highly doubt there will be a 4th installment of this series. If they did, it would be "Back to the Future: _______" (insert subtitle here). Without Fox as Marty McFly, there is no way it would be the 4th movie of the series. It would be great to see some sort of remake though. Great notes!

wow that sounds cool. with all this talk of a rocky 13, and a die hard 4, indiana jones 4,,, i wouldnt be too surprised. id check out IMDB, see what the deal is.
