I mean, we KNOW they have nuclear weapons. With Iraq, Bush just suspected (or lied about) nuclear weapons. So, the only thing I can come up with is that he had an ulterior motive to be in Iraq so fast. Hmmmmmm......wonder what it could've been.

Oil, the upcoming election, trying to show up daddy? I guess we'll never know.

Because it is a classic case of being a bully. A bully only picks on people he knows he can beat the Iraq Army it had been dessimated from the Gulf War and UN sanctions for years. Just like on the playground the bully only pick on the undersized kid with the glasses on but as soon as a guy who is as big as the bully stands up to him he want to say ting like I don't have a beef with you, and want to try to talk it out. Hence North Korea, or Iran.

Way to catch up to the times. One of the reasons Bush is being so careful with North Korea is because our military is already overstretched in Iraq, and NK is pretty volatile and paranoid. Bush's approval ratings have plummeted so he's realized that maybe acting more diplomatically, and actually working with US allies, and being less of a bully would help.

And as for invading Iraq on false premises, daddy's boy wanted to finish what his father started, and get more oil for his Texan buddies, so it was convenient that he could use Sept. 11th to scare people into believing him that war was necessary.

Because as you said, we know North Korea has nuclear weapons, and that they would be hostile to anyone trying to remove those weapons from them. So Bush has no option but to be diplomatic. Iraq was a farse, the West needs oil and America wanted to have a stronghold in the Middle East so as to dictate policy in that region.

Different group of people needing a different game plan. China would have a hard time letting us pounce on North Korea. It's better to let those in the region handle it. At least the Chinese are reasonable.

There is no reasonable force in the middle east. They don't have nukes, or a way to deliver them just yet. If you read your history, people from that region only understand brute force. Which is why brute force was called for.

The correct question should be: Why is the government of the US thinking of ruling the world? If the US has Nuclear Weapons and SELL them to "friendly" (read: willing) nations, why isn't every country aloud to have some? Don't get me wrong, I don't want an aggressive NK, I just want NO county to invad another "just to be sure there is no aggression" (read: for oil and power)

Bush is being careful because the US is trying to work closer with the UN and so far with Russia and China outright saying no to adding any pressure on North Korea. Plus Bush is also being pressured not to pressure Kim Gong-il even though if anymovement started the world powers could subdue it.

Yeah, this is such a tough one, right?

Wake up, already. O-I-L. It's not that difficult. North Korea has no oil. Also, North Korea poses a legitimate threat; therefore, Bush can't impose his will upon them. It's schoolyard tactics; pick a fight with the weakest kid on the playground.

Because unlike Iraq, they actually have WMD's and an army that would put up a hell of a fight. Also they don't have as much oil as the middle east so the fat cats and corrupt politicians would not benefit from it.

I completely agree with you. He's looking for an angle to make dealing with North Korea beneficial to his true loyalty and interests: finance and the New World Order.

He turns my stomach. LORD have mercy on His evil, selfish ignorant little soul. He IS reachable, though. I just don't know who it is that could reach him. Such a puppet for American greed and lies.
