Actually, this is inaccurate. "Republican" comes from "republic", which comes (via french république) from the Latin res publica, usually translated 'public affairs'.
GOP "Grand Old Party; Republican" dates to 1876, and was used by both parties.

what an ugly thing to say... is that also what your opinion of God is...is he prejudice? is he a liar? is he ignorant? not of this world...wow...now you can finally admit to yourself that your true hate is for God...what a concept...I hope you see the truth and it scares you enough so you can wake up and really choose what you will hate and love while you're still able to choose your eternal future...if you hate what he says is wrong and right...I hope you're not another one of those people who hipocritically think that this loving God is going to make you go to heaven and worship and love him and his ways for ever...really think about what you are saying...only you can choose to love or hate God...do you even really like youself or anyone for that matter...please seek real help...and if you've been hurt and failed by man and even religion...I am truly sorry...please try a real relationship with God and see if he doesn't change your life and your view...before you write him off too...there's still hope for you...you're still alive so make good of it...it's easy to complain
