The best weight loss method is to exercise. If you can do at least 30 minutes of cardio for about 3-4 times a week that will do wonders for your body. Once you have built up stamina, do weight training as well for tone and muscle definition.

As far as diet, cut out the fats, sugar and fried foods. Eat a lot of lean chicken, fish and veggies. Drink a lot of water. Work on eating a lot of protein.

Drink at least eight glasses of water a day. Many times you will think that you are hungry when you are actually thirsty. The human body is 2/3 water, and you need a generous amount of water to keep your body functioning properly. Also, try to exercise regularly. It doesn't have to be for several hours, if you only have enough free time that day to exercise for 20 minutes, then exercise for 20 minutes, because it's better than no exercise. Try to vary your exercises, because after a few weeks of the same exercise, your body will adjust to it, and you'll no longer be making progress. Also, cardiovascular exercises are most effective at burning fat when you exercise on an empty stomach. If you have a full stomach, your body will use that food as fuel first, and you won't touch your stored fat until it has burned through the contents of your stomach. So if you do a little cardio first thing in the morning, on an empty stomach, your body will have no choice but to look to your stored fat for energy. You have to understand also that a certain amount of stored fat is absolutely healthy. Don't pay attention to what's going on on TV or in magazines, your body needs stored fat to be able to function properly. I'd say the best advice i could give you would be to not look in the mirror to gauge your health, but to pay attention to how you feel physically. Drink lots of water, try to exercise as regularly as possible, and watch your portion sizes. I've heard from many people that it's healthier to eat six medium sized meals spread over the course of the day as opposed to eating three huge meals, so if you eat smaller portions more often, your body will process that food better. But yeah, drink lots of water, exercise, and pay attention to how you feel and not how you look.

Well, what's working for me is a varied workout program, and eating lots of fruits and vegetables. Here's my program:
Mondays-aerobics, 1 1/2 hours
Tuesdays- aerobics, 45 mins; walk 1.5 miles
Wednesdays-rest, do housework
Thursdays-Yoga, aerobics (half hour each), walk a mile
Fridays-walk the 2.5 miles to town and back
Saturdays, Sundays, rest and do housework
As far as food, I eat six times a day, while drinking at least 50 oz of water, Propel, or tea with honey (honey's healthier than sugar or sugar substitute). I eat very little junk food, drink one soda or less a day.
I've been doing this about three weeks to a month, and so far I've lost eight pounds, and an inch and a half. It works.

Ultimately excercise & HEALTHY dieting are the best ways to lose weight.
I've tried green tea & I thought it worked (when I checked the scale I was lighter), but my doctor says it water weight & ur body needs water to metabolise fat, also some of these green teas (like Mr. Lee's diet tea) affects digestion & causes you go to the bathroom, so if ur taking meds it may affect how your body breaks them down.
Also please dont go on a "starvation diet", it works but can cause other problems; in terms of the excercise anything that makes you break a sweat & keeps ur heart rate up for over 20 mins is good. In terms of diet, lots of water fruits & veggies, try to avoid fats & complex carbohydrates (eg white bread).

don't eat LESS, but healthier, like unsalted pretzels instead of chips, like 1 DIET soda a day instead of a few regular [or even diet]. i recommend eating off smaller plates, not your regular dinner plates, fill half of the plate up with a fruit of vegetable, then the carbs, or meat.

go out and by your favorite candy, then give it to a parent, friend, coworker, significant other, i dont care. and tell them that u can have one small peice a day (or everytime u see them, but no more tham i a day) this will give u a small reward, it will make u less likely to break the diet.

as for exercise, take a mile walk three times a week, and after do crunches and other toning exercises [your bodys metablism is faster after walking]

but if that seems insufferably boring (as it does for me) try a rock climbing gym, sign up with a friend and go together, u get a great work-out while hanging out with your friend.

or even try dancing, not only classes or something, but when u sing in the shower, dance! trust me its fun, get a radio and put it in your bathroom if u dont sing.

but since your on the computer asking this question, buy and exercise ball, u know the big ones that u see in yoga, and sit on that instead of a chair, sit up as straight as u can, and with every slight movment u make u will be working your core muscles. + this sometimes comes with a video, do that on one of the days that u dont go walking or rockclimbing

i hope that helps u will lose 20 lbs. by the end of summer

second... during meal times eat less of what is served... dont starve yourself... its to unhealthy
third... go for a walk or a run once a day... 6 days a week... always take a day off if your running... if your walking go for 7 a week
fourth... when your done with your run or walk do something that involves using energy... dont just sit done a watch tv or play on the computer
last... after a week reward your self for doing a job well done.. no sweet fatty foods... take yourself somewhere nice... go out with friends...

Daily in morning, half an hour before breakfast on an empty stomach and at night before sleeping, drink honey and cinnamon powder boiled in one cup water. If taken regularly, it reduces weight! It works! I am a witness to this! Also, when you eat food, make sure you chew on your food, it burns fat! GOOD LUCK!
