I think you need to get more speed when you start your take off and you also got to get more height, so you could actually go and practice jumping to make your legs stronger and also you could do some stretching to work on your getting higher off of the ground.
Oh yeah! you could actually work out in a pool in the water that is a great form as excise I think....

You need to spin faster, or for a longer distance, or for a longer time.
You could try lowering the water level, but I recommend raising the platform and spinning faster.
