has anyone ever heard of a town called Garden City in Kansas? could u tell me more about it?

I went to college in Garden City. Pretty much your typical small city. The beef packing plants are one of the major employers out there. There is a 2 year college. It has all your normal fast food eateries and a Wal Mart. It used to boast the largest out door swimming pool in the country but not sure about now.
