My name is Amanda and I love it. Forget what people say about it being too common, I have only known a handful of Amanda's my whole life. I think it is a beautiful name with a beautiful meaning, Deserving of Great Love. How sweet is that? Usually people just drop the A and call me Manda when they are comfortable with me. i don't know why they do this, I don't think they do it consciously.

It's way too common. I like different names. You don't want her to go to school and have 5 other Amanda's in her class. Besides all of the Amanda's I went to school with were hooch's.

I do like it a lot , but it is a very common name. I like names that not everyone has. So the child feels special.
