I used to take Gracial as contraceptive and anti-acne medication. Now I'm trying to conceive and I'm afraid I'm having a hard time. I am thinking that maybe the pill has something to do with that. Or is it stress? I'm overworked. I work about 12 hours a day. And I have a lot of other responsibilites... Please advise.

Stress also has a huge factor if you are over stressed you will have delayed ovulation. Also just stressing over getting pregnant affects your ovulation. That is why when you say I give up getting pregnant...you get pregnant..NEVER FAILS.

Give it time...keep practicing...and try to lessen your stress at work. Eat healther, get a little exericise in and I bet you will be expecting before you know it.

GOOD LUCK!

Stress is definitely a major factor in trying to conceive. You have to relax. Your body is overworked right now. Stress not only causes problems conceiving but also causes miscarriages. The best thing to do is try not to stress too much. Your body needs to be as healthy as possible to function properly.
Every woman is different when it comes to birth control and how it effects the body. Some women will get pregnant faster than others. You also have to know that your body needs time to get rid of all those synthetic hormones that were running through your body. Your body has to return to its normal cycle.
I recently asked a question about getting pregnant after coming off birth control and one woman responded that she was on for 12 years and got pregnant one month after getting off birth control. Another woman was on for 1 year and it took her 8 months to conceive.

I took the pill for 6.5 years and got pregnant within one month. I don't think the pill would have any effect unless the amount of hormones were very high and they are still in your body. Stress is indeed a factor and yes you work too hard, you should think about slowing down a bit, if you are not getting pregnant is because your body is trying to tell you that with the rythm of life you have it would be hard for you to have a baby, so listen to your body, slow down.

it takes a while for the pill to get out of your system but after a few months, it should be out. stress is a big factor, your body needs plenty of rest not just sleep. if your periods are pretty regular, about 5 days before you start, place a pillow under your butt during sex, leave it there for about 20 minutes after, a friend told me about this and I now have 3 daughters - all from this!!!

your body is probably worn down from stress and overworking. stress and fatigue will hinder your body's ability to take care of a developing baby and in the long run it may cause major complications for you or the baby. it is best if you can cut down at work and slow your life down before you try to get pregnant. good luck!
