if a hijacker hijacks a plane ur in, and u beat him up and kill him, would u get in trouble? (in the United States) i know we'll get arrested in sweden...

You'd probably get tossed in jail at least for a little while or sit in the back of a police car with handcuffs on...just until the law enforcement officers can investigate and find out for sure what happens.

Eh, I've only visited America a lot; this is just a guess.

You would be stopping a major felony -

The object is to use enough force to subdue and counter the threat.

I highly doubt that if you really stopped a tru hijacking and terminated the perpetrator that you would have anything less than media praise.

You'd be a hero! I am sure the government would question you at length, question the other passengers and if the story checks out you will probably have a movie of the week, a book deal and may be able to sit on Oprah's couch.

No. It would be considered a civil service and/or self defense. You are, after all, defending yourself from said hijacker.

a few years ago I lived in Spain ..1 day we were being robbed ..and I caught the thief beat him up &called the police they told me I should have brocken his legs and put him in a rubbish skip they said it saved them time dealing with asholes

I should hope not. I would think you would be protecting yourself and others and I don't see how you could be punished for trying to do what's right.
