Oh, my gosh....what a great selection of pets you all have had. I'd like to raise one of everything you had. I love animals! My boyfriends got his 3rd Black Widow in a jar he feeds. The last one, I made him get ride of after it had babies. I draw the limit to somethings I want in the house. Let them all free up in the hills.
Oh, I forgot I also raised a orphaned hummingbird for 2 months...unfortunately he didn't make it. Now a ordimental hummer flies in the backyard where the little guy is buried.
Also had a Praying Mantis...but it didn't make it after it had it first molting! : (

Most of you have the BEST ANSWER...just so you know. This will be really hard....so just know that I'm sending you a big smile at least for your answers.

Thanks sooooooo much

I have a squirrel and a cat. The squirrel was baby when I met her in a pet shop. Of course in my country too it is illegal! But still they sell... She was living in a very small cage. I brought her to my home and buy a large cage which are sold for parrots. More than four years passed. I have learned a lot about the squirrels, by my experiment, by the cites in Internet and by some publications. I take her with me where ever I go. To the seaside, mountains, forests...I think, she threats me like a tree. Always finds a place under my polars, or my sweatshirts...Only in certain periods (two times in a year) she becomes nerves and bites me savagely. In those periods I try not to touch her. Eight months ago, my daughter has brought a baby cat. Now she is becoming a young lady. She is also very wonderful ... They live together under my inspection. We are happy... What can I write more?...

I've had hummingbirds, blue jays, breed rabbits (I've successfully bottlefed three), dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, snakes, praying mantis, a wierd 8 inch long salamander, an african frog, horses, a goat, a pig named Bacon, ferrets, raccoon kits, squirrel baby, opossum, and most recently a hawk that wouldn't fly or bite (took care of it for the five hours it took for the game warden to finally come and get it to ship it off to a rehabilitation center). I've got two really strange cousins who like to go fishing a lot an they always come back with some animal that they have caught but don't know how to take care of, so I take them and let them go when the cousins aren't looking, unless they are handicaped like the hawk was.

I have been into birds for as long as I can remember. My family has had dogs (airedales, samoyed/husky mix, german shepherds, great pyranees, and a mutt that followed my sister home), cats (grey tabbies and calicos and some long-haired ones), fish (bettas, neon tetras, zebras, plattys, mollies, plycos, fire eels), rabbits (dwarf Netherlands), Russian dwarf hamsters, gerbis, mice, rats . . .

And birds. A swan goose, ducks (mallards, magpies, cresteds, and cayugas), cockatiels, budgies (bred them for a time), pigeons (show king pigeons and random ones that showed up), rose-ring parakeet, sun conure, and an umbrella cockatoo.

I'm also a licensed falconer, and I've flown red-tails (westerns, easterns, Kriders and dark-morph) and American kestrels, whick I am flying now.

It's all just a matter of personal preference. We have short hair and guys just like it. And i prefer a person with short hair over a person with long hair because long tresses tends to make guys look also girly.
