They have a unique sound... and it's very classic rock. So maybe some would call it an old sound. But that doesn't mean it's not good music! I think they still to make appearances in their hometown, at least I know they did a few years ago.

Actually , i think Boston's sound still holds up. Tom Scholz (guitarist) is an electronic genius, did you know that the first record was tracked in his basement studio? And Tom Scholz actually made the guitar amps that created their guitar sound. He would later market the "Rockman" , a little unit that was supposed to give guitar players THAT sound , and i even own one - but it's not the same , he wasn't stupid , i know he left out certain things...

Yes. In this case, though, "old" is good. Not only could those guys harmonize better than any other rock group I can think of, but they were not shy when it came to the organ. I'm of the mind that the organ is never out of place in a song. The organ is my "cowbell."

They have an "old" sound because guitar oriented rock is a thing of the past. Guitar solos have become passe. They were great!

Are they even still around? They were popular when I was a kid. Very old school.
