Actually, lawyers get paid by the hour, usually, and the rate varies depending on the type of case. If they take a case on contingency, they don't get paid until the client wins, but client still has to pay the lawyer's expenses for that case.

It depends on a number of factors. There is not really a range for weekly pay. It would depend on if you were in a firm or working by yourself. Are you talking about a partner in a law firm? What area of the country are you talking about?

A laywer might make anywhere from 30,000 a year for a public defender, to several million a year for a partner at a large firm. Starting salaries for a larger city firm is going to be somewhere in the 80-120k range.

Lawyers get paid hourly.... when they meet with a client they charge by the hour.

they get paid 200 bucks an hour, from that rate, 1500 a day and about 7000 a week.

i don't know about weekly but by the hr they get anywhere from $150.00 and up.
