91' Chev. 2500 brake light flashing.?

Question

For quite some time now my brake light has been flashing.
It blinks seven times then stops, then does it again.
What does this mean, and how do I fix it?

go under the hood. there is a small black box mounted close to the master cylinder called a brake module. unplug the wire harness from this unit and leave off for about a minute. this should clear the light. if it doesn't you will have to replace the module
