it could be restless leg syndrome

The feeling, or lack of is numbness. This is related to an inappropriate amount of blood supply to the nerves that serve the specific body part. When those nerves dont receive enough oxygen, they become less effective. When a nerve is less effective, it numbs, or looses its function, which is to feel. When the blood supply is returned the nerves are resupplied with oxygen and the nerves begin to "wake up" and that is why you feel "pins and needles"......or you may simply need back surgery as the result of an impinged nerve around the lower lumbar spine

What language does your doctor speak? It sounds to me like *you* are the one who has a difficult time speaking English.

From what I gather from your post, it sounds like your legs are going numb/falling asleep, and the shocked feeling is pins and needles (when your leg starts to wake back up).

It's called Runaway Legs or Restless Leg Syndrome. It will go away after your pregnancy.

(Silent B, Pronounced NUM)

" My legs go NUMB when I sit for a short time"

I hope this helps. I dont think you have much to worry about. You should be careful how you sit and change your position often.

Pretty common occurrence if you sit in weird positions. In english, the non-medical term is a "pins and needles" sensation.
