define doing a good job... if you are in the top 1%of the country that controls 35% of the liquid wealth.. then hell yes,if you are in the bottom 50% ( like me ) that controls around 3% of the nations liquid wealth.. well then I've already answered the question haven't I ? also ..just a note here of interest for all of you that will respond in your minds to the question I just superimposed..
of all the housing sales last year in this country roughly 50% were second homes, of all the stocks that are traded on American businesses we the lower 50% ( half the country ) control about 1%... so when "W" talks about an ownership society he knows who he speaking too... A good job? Good Grief !

First off, why ask a question when you have all ready made up your mind and don't want to hear the other points of view. My opinion is the following. Everyone in the U.S. had the chance to change the President in the past election. He was re-elected so that seems to say that 1) he was doing a good job or 2) he was just better than the other guy. When speaking of President Bush's education, you need to remember that he is a very well educated man that is not the best public speaker. That does not make him an "idiot". Besides he isn't the one that writes his speeches. Now onto the War in Iraq, would you rather that he do nothing? It has always been the responsibility of those countries in the world with the means and the "balls" to step up and help those that haven't been able to help themselves. The situation in Afghanistan is not being ignored, it is just the fact that the media and all the ignorant people in the world would rather focus on Iraq. I agree that something has to be done about the economy, but that can't be blamed solely on the President. If you are so concerned about the prices being raised on "everything" then do something about it. Now it is time for my opinion, quit complaining and worry about changing things in your immediate circle and maybe that will help begin the change in a larger circle.

1. Idiot: He has a higher IQ than John Kerry.
2. Made the world a worse place:
a. There have been no terrorist attacks against the US. since 9/11.
b. 50,000,000 people have a freely elected government that didn't before.
c. A higher percent of women now serve in the Afganistan Gov. than in the US. Before they couldn't even attend school.
d. Last quarter the US brought in more tax revenues than any quarter in the history of the Nation.
3. More people in Jail: Jail is our current method of protecting society from those who break laws. More people in jail means there are less criminals on the street.
4. N. Korea and Iran have made nuclear weapons: Iran has not made nuclear weapons. N. Koreas was given light water nuclear reactors capable of producing enough plutonium to make 100 nuclear bombs each year. They were given this by Bill Clinton in 1994 against the advice of a by-partisian commission.
5. Afghanistan is getting worse:
a. The Taliban Gov. has been toppled and replaced with a freely elected government.
b. 4,000,000 children now attending school 1/3 female
c. 3,500,000 refugees settled
d. 63,000 combatants disarmed. According to the President of Afghanistan
e. Reconstruction of more than 11,000 Afghan villages
6. Our deficit is the worst it has been ever: The deficit in 2004 was $412 billion, the largest in history. In 2005, it declined by $100 billion to about $312 billion. Tax cuts get the credit.
7. Our economy sucks:
a. Corporate tax payments to the gov. are up 27% in a single year.
b. The first quarter of 2006 was the largest income from taxes in US history.
c. We've had 12 straight quarters of buisness investment growth
d. 5.3 million new jobs since May 2003.
e. 5.6% economic growth from 1st quarter 2006. Fastest of any major industrialized nation.
8. Illegal wiretapping, etc: We as US citizens are innocent until proven guilty. There have been no legal charges filed, much less a conviction. If it happens it happens.
There are many things that President Bush has done that I do not agree with. There are also many things that I support. I place more weight on the things that I deem more important. The largest of those being the fact that we have been free from attack, and inspite of the fact that we have been involved in two large military operations, we have seen economic growth.

I think he is doing a great job. Our economy is booming, jobless rates are droping and new jobs are being created all the time. North Korea has always been looking into nukes, Clinton actually gave hime some of the technology and time needed! Russia gave them rocket technology and China gave them arming technology. Iraq was not a bad idea due to the fact that Sadam was murdering, raping, torchering innocents. He was attempting to get new NBC weapons, we have already found over 500 shells that had mustard and sarin gas. I had a friend that was THERE that was affected by some. We have only searched less than 1% of all the weapon cashes that he had hidden. I understand your issues with the war, but take a look at history and what happend post WW2 we are winning, just have patience. They are only looking for specific words and phrases and do not listen to the conversation, that is data mining. The FISA court has looked at this and has said it was legal, what you hear is the liberal press that wants to destroy the President for their own agenda. As for being able to spell or read, come one, why attack someone like that I can see your to smart for that.

First of all, it is plain stupid of you to think that he can't read or spell. God. Get over it.
He hears plenty of opposing view. Do you hear him continuing on like a little whinging, crying baby, much like what very liberal politicians do? No, he takes all the criticism and says, "it is good that people CAN voice their opinion".
Give real, concrete examples of how he has ruined the world. Don't be a bandwagon jumper and give a vague answer like, OMGHERUINEDTHEWORLD. It is weak and really the fighting thoughts of a toddler.
China is around four times as big as the US in population - four! Once they start working forward in technology and commerce, they DO stand to become a world leader. That is life. Many good things came from the Chinese and hopefully the future with them can be peaceful and prosperous.
N. Korea and Iran had their plans for nuclear weapons in play before Bush. Do your homework.
I will bow some what to the arguement that the President has caused the deficit to be worse. However, he is NOT the only one looking after it. Every government runs their accounting like crapt.
Our economy does not suck. People don't pay attention to their local state reports and only hear about large companies doing their restructuring. Once again, do your homework. There has been a lot of growth since 2002.
Inflation WILL happen. Lucky for the US it is not as bad as other things. You can still own two cars, three cellphones, eat at McDonalds and be in poverty. I would take that over starvation and oppression in Uganda any day.
The living rate not increasing could be because of our wonderful prosperity and how we now eat ourselves to death. Once again, another arguement that is easily misread.
The Patriot Act and related subjects are a hot area. One thought though, do you think it needs to be legal for them to do it? Be realistic, they do it all the time. Whether they can us it in court is another thing. For me, all I need to think of are the people jumping 100 stories to their death on September 11, 2001. Remember.
You forgot global warming. I'm impressed!
In the end, I hope that good people from BOTH parties are elected. We need less morons from both parties. But be careful how you sling your hate and point your finger.

I think he is doing a great job. Most people think that he was the cause of 9/11 but he cant be. He was in office for 9 months before the attack, and things like 9/11 take years to plan. Someone didn't wake up the month before and said "Oh lets go try to kill people in the U.S. These things are planned. It was Bill Clinton, he was the one who decided that Iraq, Afghanistan, and Iran, have weapons on mass destruction. There was a bombing in 1993 when he was president, but did anyone blame him for that? No. Leave President Bush alone.

I think the president is doing a masterful job at what he was elected to do...
Of course, I think he was elected to empower the rich and destroy everything good about America. No Child Left Behind has ruined public education (forget "accountability" - yes some teachers need to find another career, but NCLB has too many flaws to improve public ed.) The economy is crap. My biggest problem with Bush is that American men & women are fighting a war that was started because of lies. I am not saying that I think Iraq was better before, but I can't respect the man because he flat out lied to the American public to achieve his own agenda. He never should have been in office, and I am appalled that he was ever reelected.

Having to deal with all he has had on his plate, 911, the economy that was in a state of lawlessness because the Cliton administration didn't patrol Enron, Worldcom, and many more. Then IRAQ, no one seems to mention that they actually found WMDs recently. Everything is not perfect at the White House, but can think a lot of people who would be doing a worse job than he is doing. Since it is the hardest job in the world, he is doing a fine job.

I think President Bush is doing an excellent job. His foriegn policy is to crush our enemies with an unprecedented fury, and I like that stance.
Iraq and Afganistan have been skewed and politicized by the Liberal Media Machine, and unfortunately you have been sucked in. I feel sorry for you, you poor, misguided soul. Both wars have benefited millions of people, secured our homeland, smashed Al-Quaeda, immobilized Osama Bin Laden, and brought freedom and prosperity to millions.
N. Korea has had nukes for a while, just not the ability to deliver them onto allied or homeland soil. Now he does, and we are working on it. Honestly, I think we should crush them with the iron fist of the US Military. Iran is the next target. Go look at a map of the Middle East. Look at our allies and who we've attacked / conquered. You tell me who the real target is.
Crushing China would also be a nice place to go as well.
Bush is doing an excellent job as President, and the liberals, biased as they are, cannot stand to see a Republican suceed. It's funny to watch them spiral.

President Bush has faced more severe problems in his term in office than any other presidenst has with the exception of Roosevelt. Given all he has had to face he has made the right choices. People need to consider that this is the land of the free because of the brave. The right choices are not always the easy ones. They do not alwoys come through overnight either. I believe he has taken the hard stand and in time we will see the rewards that come with making those right choices.

Actually, I think the economy is quite good, but I live in Indiana where the only thing that goes up is gas prices. As for international policy, if he was totally ignorant he would be pretending like what's happening with North Korea wasn't happening. Instead he's taking action. I think the war in iraq is horrible, but if the guy plays it right with the North Korea situation, he just might redeem himself with me.
