my friend is nigerian and took me with her. i always assuemed she was african american but she's not! that country didn't have jungles or any poor people. they had ipods and listened to fifty cents. i was really surprised and i though you guys should know.

I'd rather not think of Africans as Africans. It's such a large continent and the cultures vary from one region to another. It's amazing. I'd much rather think in terms or Egyptian, Nigerian, South Africans, Zimbabweans, Morroccan etc. Each group is different and beautiful in their own ways.

you cant generalize all of africa because your friend happend to live in one small tiny portion of wealthy people that built a suberb in the poor mans jungle.........look around hunny

I agree africa is not all it seems cause ma parents r from there however there is the reality of poverty and a lot of ppl in need there...
