How can Jesus have existed before Abraham if Abraham was born more than 2,000 years earlier? Because Jesus is God. Could Jesus be an angel, thus enabling him to have pre-existed before Abraham? No. Jesus is the Word, and the Word created all things (John 1:1-3). Angels are created. Obviously Jesus cannot be an angel and create himself. It's illogical. Therefore, Jesus must be God.
