I pronounce the words as CARE-A-MEL, and NEETHER. "Ny-thur" sounds pretentious to my southern ears.

I've heard it all ways seeing how I used to work at Dunkin Donuts and people order the "Caramel Iced Latte"
I personally pronounce it "Car-mel"

i think its supposed to be CAR-A-mel- i pronounce it that way, too.
