A teacher at my school who teaches the grade I'm going into is sick. He is literally perverted. He knocks things off of girl's desks so that he can look down their shirts. He lifts up their skirts. There's a pretty good chance that I'll have him, and if I don't, at least one of my friends definetely will. What can I do about this to make sure that he never, ever does this again, besides tell the principal? If it was that simple, someone would have done it already! HELP!

I have not been a victim and am not officially in his class, but a friend of mine was in his class and he *admired*the ruffles of her skirt and wanted to feel the fabric, just like how he liked her friend's fuzzy shoes and bent over topet them while she was wearing a skirt, while he looked up.

If you or one of your friends gets stuck in this jerks class, and IF one of you has the circumstance that he tries this use your VOICE.
Spread around to the other girls that there is nothing wrong with pointing out to everyone that he is trying to violate you. If he tries something like trying to have you bend over for something that was dropped say, "I can't, my back is really hurting today." If he tries to drop something and then pick it up himself, and then tries to sneak a peek, say loud enough for the class to hear, "What are you doing? Did you try to look up my dress?" Bring attention to the situation. It will embarrass him to no end and he may think twice about trying it again. Everyone will be watching him!
I know that teen-age girls can make noise. Use your voice appropriately.

1. Tell your parents about your concerns.
2. Document everything. Without documentation of dates, locations, events, etc., it's very difficult to persuade the board to act, especially if the teacher is tenured.
3. Speak to the school counselor. If you can provide specifics-and if your friends (whom have had this happen to them) will speak to the counselor as well-then the counselor will report the matter (it's the law).
4. If, God forbid, he attempts anything on you, report it immediately to the principal and the authorities.
Many times victims of sexual harassment do not come forward for fear of retaliation or being called a liar. This doesn't make it all right. You would be helping your friends a great deal by following the above 4 steps. Good luck.

Wow, this is a big problem. If you have any reason to feel uncomfortable around this teacher, please report him to the principal, guidance counselor, or other teacher you trust. If you haven't told your parents yet, tell them! I know you don't want to because it might be embarassing to mention such a thing, but it it important to do so. A teacher should not be lifting up students' skirts! That's sexual harassment of a minor, and it's illegal... not to mention disgusting! Bring a friend or someone who's experienced it firsthand along for support. Please, by all means, do something about it before he has a chance to be perverted towards a new group of students. He's definitely overstepping the line, and I'd like to see him get what he deserves. Good luck!

Try to switch out of the class on your own first, via the school counselor, or whoever does scheduling. You can say you just don't understand things with his teaching style, or something like that. If the admins won't move you, then get your parents involved. I don't know about where you live, but here parents are practically worshipped and things usually get done when they start to complain.

What are you talking about?
I had this problem with my 6th grade teacher.
Why haven't you told your parents yet?
If you feel you can't go to them, then go to a teacher you DO trust. Or some other adult in your life that you trust.
Sounds like you have been victimized before and don't realize this isn't normal.
Please tell someone NOW !!!!

getting rid of someone is never that simple- and avoiding the person is not a solution.... it just avoids the problem....some girls probably already tried to take a stand and fell short of following through.
my senior year in high school i came face to face with a pervert teacher... it was common knowledge- even with the teachers, but no one could do a thing without someone to formally follow through with a complaint. this teacher said something inappropriate to me- i was very disturbed and i asked a girlfriend of mine if he had ever harrassed her- he did. that day we decided to file complaint. long story short, during the investigation my attorney told me that the school system has been trying to nail this sicko for four consecutive years but when it came time for each girls to formally come forward, they backed off... we followed through and he is no longer teaching. at the end of the fiasco- i discovered that i had more than half of the staff testify on my behalf... doing the right thing is never easy- i faced rumors becasue i was not allowed to talk about my case- but the school system is no place for perverts... after he was fired- a friend of mine told me that he had molested her and she was not strong enought to fight with us- if just for her, the heartache was worth it...

Have your parents call and insist that you be put in another class. They don't have to say why and that's your right. Hopefully, this sicko will be out of a job soon and this will no longer be a problem for other girls...

Do you trust your source of information? Have you seen this teacher do this? Being a male teacher is very tough because of students like this, but hey, if it is really happening...then heck yes report it. But if it is just a rumor...think about it.
