This is not a joke. There is currently a turtle on the other side of my fence. It's driving me crazy because it's driving my dog crazy and she's barking. Beside asking the neighbors permission, what can I do to get it?

Before you go after the turtle, you really should ask theneighbors if they would mind you taking it out. This turtle Could be thiers, and placed in the yard for some reason such as pest control. (You never know with neighbors) But even if it is a 'stray' asking is the best approach.

Well I suppose you could sneak over the fence in the night and kidnap the turtle, but don't you think it would be easier to ask your neighbors to let you take the turtle to another place, your dog's barking is probably getting on their nerves too.

Unless you're overly concerned with being at the brunt end of physical violence just by asking your neighbors when you see them outside, "Hey, is that your turtle?" - you can always call animal control and tell them there is an animal in your neighbor's yard that is tormenting your dog. If it is their turtle, and it remains enclosed on their property, then they are well within their rights to have it there as long as it is not digging under your fence causing damage to your property. Then again, the dog shouldn't really be outside constantly anyway due to heat, fleas, ticks, other animals and the dangers of him/her getting loose.

Hello. - In my opinion, the turtle is on their property regardless if it is the neighbors pet or not - You may want to think about/consider asking your neighbors first, before handling the turtle yourself.

Have a nice day. :)

you'd better make sure its not a pet of theirs, or there for some other reason. trespassing is against the law (on someone's property without permission) and you could be asking for more trouble than just your dog's barking. you may want to consider approaching your neighbor with a reasonable soulution and/or doing something with your dog....the barking could be bothering your neighbor(s).

You should go and ask the neighbors if its theirs. If it isn't, ask for permission to take it away! But don't harm the turtle.... PUt it is a nearby creek or something....
