I am not sure to be honest!

N.Korea wants the World (especially USA, Japan, S. Korea) to know that they have the right and capablity to test their 'power' and never taken them lightly and been ignored. From the nation that built based on communist ideology, i am not surprised that military is their main priority like former USSR. The ruling party tend to control and become so powerful and they feel they should enhance the power time to time. No need to compare Bush and the president of North Korea because both of them are 'fishy' and have their own hidden agendas.
I may sound like a pro- N. Korea but on contrary I feel they should have taken care of their own people inside their country1st where many children/people are dying without food, medicine and proper shelter. They use large sum of money to compete with industrialized nations for the military/ power!
It seems that USA is interested in Iran vs S.Korea because Iran has the most oil reserve/ supply in the world! However, we should not overlook the fact that N. Korea has or will support Iran in providing 'technology' and resources to develop nuke power!
Who has started the fire? USA, France, China and etc?
If USA uses 'democracy' and I guess North Korea- the President take it not so lightly at all and feel like they have the right to develop, test, use and defend their ideas, idelogy, wish for their own country. Therefore, why USA could have nuke power, while Iran and N.Korea cant?. The question now..which country/who will be next to challenge the World and USA for the concept of democracy?

Well If North Korea were a normal country or a country not known for doing something beyond crazy (sadly for Bush haters Dubya hasnt reached yet this level), I would not really mind provided that it at least warned people about it and stated clearly the intentions (The USA and the Soviets did this during the Cold War to avoid Armaggeddon when missile tests were conducted, they also served as determinations of resolve...probably somewhat like the NoKors now). Nothing came out of NoKor except for unclear confirmation that they were testing missiles sometime soon, as though they want to scare people or something. I have also read the biography of Kim Jong ill, and frankly I would be nuking him too if he really was that conceited, conniving and manipulative. The NoKors are playing a dangerous bullcrap game with the USA, unfortunately the World may eventually have to pay the price for it

Unfortunately, the crisis is not a new one. The sleeping giants of the East are awaking to discover that they have the power to instigate a change and shift in world power. The effects of greed is the same in every society as it is universal in humanity. However, North Korea is but a puppet of the East. Where there is a puppet, there is a real puppeteer. The puppets are amusing but, the puppeteer is the real monster that should be of concern in this show!

I believe North Korea has been way over looked and under estimated in light of the most recent conflicts in the middle east.

Perfect for them, (the N. Koreans). Giving them time to let the rest of the world crumble under conflict and tensions, at the same time planning "SOMETHING"

I think the Nuclear Bombs are a "warning" so to speak saying
"we can and will stand up for ourselves" but not in the sense they will be picked on, but in the sense that they will be reprimanded for some horrific action.

I don't know that the USA will be the target of this action, but everyone else dislikes us...

The dictator is truely crazy, read earlier posts. The news reports he made a hole in one on every hole the first time he played golf. He also rreportedly egularly slam-dunks when he plays basketball. If you say anything negative about him- he'll have you killed. He's far too unstable to be allowed access to nukes. People need to realize that crazed dictators should not be accepted as the norm.

Their missile tests are an attempt to be able to reach us. This first one failed- and that's good... unless it's a ploy to get us to relax our guard. We need to be ready to knock a missile out of the sky.

The Anglo-Saxons of America, should have minded their own damn business and should never got involved with any of the wars we were/are in. We tried to play nice (deceivingly) with a lot of countries, and at the same time became enemies with many countries, and now look. Our government's actions are ready to bite them in the *** by North Korea trying to send a message via Nuclear Missiles.

The "leadership" of North Korea is in serious need of a reality check.

I don't know why they feel they need to develop weapons for their defense. I doubt any country in the world would want to invade them since they don't have many natural resources. They don't have any abundance of land, minerals, agriculture, technology, or anything else.

Perhaps they want to use these weapons for offensive measures and expand their control to other areas which have more of these things. To me, that makes more sense and scares the heck out of me.

Anyway, that's my point of view.

You know it's coming, I mean he so crazy one time he kidnapped to korean movie makers because he was obsessed with movies and told the two koreans to make movies for north korea. They were forced to do so, on another occasion he kidnapped some japanese ppl and help them in prison for 24 years then just let them go. Wtf? Now he's testing missiles, gunna attack us or what.
