Ok,so I'm havin' a little Friday fun with a "save the babies" nutcase.
It's a little crass. But the point is,even if the are a lot of people who want to use abortion as a poltical issue, why dont republicans support more programs for poor children?
They seem to be more pro-birth than pro-life.

Conservatives (read: right of center republicans, Nazis and other fascists) believe that that women are ultimately subservient to men, and therefore their bodies are not considered their own.

It's very simple -- women are baby making machines, primarily, meant to provide new fodder to the political machine. Conservatives only care for their own children beyond the womb, or for those that can bring them positive publicity (think corporate executives who decide to give food to the less fortunate at a time other than the holidays).

(Personal responsibility = you better not get pregnant or you will be on your own).

Conservatives do not actively staff soup kitchens, gather food for the needy, glean vegetables from fields, or work on the lines feeding the hungry, because they cannot stand the overwhelming guilt, shame and horror of being near those who haven't had a facial in the last month.

They support programs for poor children, but only in the most remote way -- by cutting a check. After all, what more do these people need? They should be grateful.

But they want your mommy to pop-out that baby regardless of her ability to care for and support the child. They don't care about the filthy, bug-infested housing that the mother might live in, or her crack-addicted boyfriend who can't get a job because he is illiterate. These little details are unimportant -- they just don't exist in the mind of conservatives. Their tightly-wrapped brain cells won’t let them consider these ugly details of human existence. They don't want to see the poor, touch them, or be near them in any way. (Remember Barbara Bush's disgusting visit to Katrina refugees in Houston?)

They claim they represent the unborn of this world, but please don't ask them to do anything about the unwanted children of this world once they have grown up.

Conservatives would have but one answer --> lock them up in state and federal prisons. Fascists would take this one step further.

How about pro-responsibility and dealing with the consequences of your own actions?

If someone wants to have sex, fine, but an unwanted pregnancy might occur. Have a baby, fine, but take care of your child yourself. I didn't force or coerce you to have sex, so why should I be responsible for supporting you?
