Anyone but Tom Cruise. Nicolas Cage. Samuel L Jackson rox my sox... hell, even Leonardo diCaprio would do better at most of Cruises' works... especially Vanilla Sky. They needed someone like Jared Leto, he did a smash up job on requiem.

I agree with the answer that Tom Cruise is one-dimensional. He is egotistical, arrogant, and lost. I also feel bad that Katie Holmes has been sucked into Scientology and has completely lost her way now. Hopefully, the foundation that her parents started for her will pull her back to Christ.
