I get a bikini wax but my sister insist on shaving. I would think that would annoy your skin? What do you do? Do any of you do what my sister does? Am I right that it annoys your skin?

Yes your right the best way to go is a bikini wax shaving irritates the skin really bad that area is too sensitive for a razor.

Shaving is cheaper, and less painful. It can irritate the skin if not done properly, but it works as well as a bikini wax, it just doesn't last as long. The key for all skin care is a good moisturizer.

You could shave if you want the problem is knowing what to use. Most of the times, the problem is that we are using products containing mineral oil and alcohol and fragrances these all are very damaging for our skin's health.... mineral oil because it is an ingredient that is derivated form petroleum....it will be like using car oil and exposing your self to the sun in fact it is the 2nd worse thing you could do to your skin (1st thing will be the sun) using fragrances or chemicals or dyes are known irritants and can cause allergic reactions. what i use to shave my legs an bikini area would be a face wash formulatted without these i have told you about ... it is called Nutrimin-C RE9 Face wash: look for it at the left margin under anti-aging.... I know it is a face wash but honestly it is great and leaves your skin smooth and shinny.... and after that you can put their body lotion fast without waiting for it will not give you a reaction or sting.... https://secure.myarbonne.com/arbonne/arb... So good luck and you are to decide.....

Actually Waxing is more harmful to my skin. I am allergic to most products, so shaving is the best alternative. If the skin is irritated, aloe is a great product to put on the area (packaged or straight from the plant).

I shave and use hair conditioner to soften the skin, followed by a menthol-based powder to prevent chafing. I've never waxed and have never had a problem. It's also best to put aside a razor specifically for this purpose, to avoid using a dull razor on sensitive areas.

I've done both, but shaving doesn't irritate my skin. If you shave without enough moisture it will irritate it. I prefer waxing though because it doesn't grow back as quickly.
