I think both are true. Some people choose to wear tight clothes, even when they have options to go larger. Some women choose baggy clothes becuase that is what they like to wear. Many designers are designing clothes for their models whose sizes are between 0 and 6. Some of these clothes never get much bigger than size 6. Usually I would say that it is the woman's choice. She can always find something of a different style that isn't so tight.

I think it is a bit of both. Women's clothing is designed differently from men's and therefore it usually fits a little tighter. But women could change that by buying a different size that was looser on them. Therefore they also select it that way. So BOTH.

Depends on the shirt and how it was meant to be worn. There are certainly shirts meant to show off in and others that could be tents. (There are also certainly women who buy shirts that are 3 sizes too small to make it tighter, too!)

Yes to both. They are designed tighter because some women want them that way.

Most designer shirts are tight fitting, unless if they're on purpose baggy sweatshirt fit. Old Navy has three fits, tiny fit, perfect fit, and easy fit. No matter what kind you want, old navy has it!
