What should we do about the UN?

The UN has become a corrupt, and evil organization, what should we do about it. Leaders are bribed to do what rich upperclass people what them to do (that means Terrorist organizations, Oil companies in Saudi Arabia, and more).

The UN may be corrupt, but it does have its uses as unifying force when there is a great event which warrants such (a humanitarian tragedy for instance)...unfortunately the bureaucracy and their institutionalized way of thinking has indeed been corrupted to the point that it has become even detrimental to the very causes it espouses (Human Rights and Welfare...HAHAHA tell that to Liberia, Haiti, Somalia, Rwanda and other tragedies too numerous to mention that scream across the planet). Best thing to do is to remove incompetent people like Kofi Annan (the fool is in a way responsible or connected to every tragedy since Rwanda in 1994), replace them with better people (from the mature European, Asian and African countries but not the Great Powers to cut any possible linkage of Great Power-subservience) and streamline the bloated bureaucracy to make it more responsive. Now who's gonna try and do this?

The one great thing that I believe history will remember about Bush is the way he basically told the UN to screw off.

I much agree .... it is the U.N. and not the U.S. that is at the heart of the current world crisis.

Nothing. We have shown our resolve to act independently when we need to. The UN is corrupt and mostly ineffectual, but it does do some good things addressing poverty and disease.
