someone once said that you have to love in order to hate. I think hate is just a misdirected love, or passion. instead of concentrating on how much they love or care about something, they concentrate on how much they loathe the oposite of it (or everything but it).
my message to them would be "yo, dude, we all have things we do and dont like. the trick is to not concentrate yourself on it. You'll live longer and be much happier."

People get so worked up over nothing, I guess they don't have anything going on in their own lives and feel the desire to stir up some drama.
