I think everyone focuses on the female.
Men, because they are attracted to her.
Women, because they are more self-conscious and are looking at the things about that particular person that they desire to have.

Usually the female. Female bodies are made to be beautiful. Males bodies are made to be used for work. These are steryotypes of course as there are beautiful men and hard working women, but it is true in many cases. I am female and I like looking at other females that are attractive. I happen to be bisexual, but I have heterosexual friends who feel the same way about womens beauty. Though, now and again, I enjoy a handsome male body as well. ;)
If they were side by side I would say that overall my eyes would be on the female.

do an experiment, put a male and a female on screen and then get people to come in and sit down with a camera device with a laser on it so you can see where the eyes of the test subjects are looking at.

I'm a man & I truly focus on the female,expecially if she's hot. I do also focus on the man,but not because I'm sexually attractive to him. It will be because us men like to see how others dress,have our hair done,talk/act with women,etc.

i'm male, i focuse on the female. I think it means that I am visually stimulated by the opposite sex. Even if I'm not thinking of sex, it's just more pleasant to look at. perhaps subconsciously I;m looking for some sign of interest in me

Depends what the people are doing! You say "screen" so this a movie not a still photo. Who is the lead role? Who is in the spotlight?
