First, Watch the movies and note major themes: Are there similarities or difference?
Also, notice how the characters deal with the conflict (there has to be conflict in order to have a plot)
Depending on what type of class the paper is required
- English class will want to read about the elements of fiction:
Characters, Conflict, Theme, Setting, etc
Film class will want to read about the elements of film:
Direction, Lighting, Camera, etc...
It helps to make a chart of similarities and differences from the notes you take as you watch. Then you can choose from the chart which elements you would like to discuss in your paper.
Make certain that as you compare and contrast the films, that you cite the scenes that support your statements.
I hope this helps. Good Luck on your paper and Happy Writing!

well, you could do a sad love movie and a funny action movie, they differances are right out there but the things that are the same might be a little harder to see. if i were you i would do a love movie and and a comedy that has a romance in it. easy!!
