You might think of it as the same way that talking about "zero apples" or "zero groups of 87" (multiplying eighty seven by zero) makes mathematical sense. A set is a collection of "n" elements where n is a natural number (any integer greater than or equal to zero). If we let n be zero, then we have a "collection" of zero elements like we might have a "collection" of zero apples, and this is our null set.
Another way to understand it is to take some courses that talk about set theory, like analysis or topology. The concept of the empty set plays an important role in many of the proofs in such classes, and that might help you achieve at least a practical understanding of the concept of the null set.
If you can't quite get your head around the idea of a collection of zero things, take comfort in knowing that while mathematicians deal with infinity all the time, nobody truly understands just how vast infinity really is either.

a null set is a collection of 0 objects or no object still its a collection but has nothing in it. a set is not defined as a collection of n digits where n>0 a set can get n as 0 the only incorrect values for n is all negative numbers

I am trying to explian you one thing try to understand
We have the numbers first to represent the number of things such as one twig, two trees, hundered pens etc.
Many thought that we are representing numbers for the number of things but what to do if there is no thing. Then they found zero (a number) to represent nothing.
In the same way Null Set is also a set which has nothing in it.
To know more details about zero view this link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/0_%28number%29
Hope you understood this

I don't know either because null means amounting to nothing. That's a good one. It's something to think about. Hummmm.
