How about if I upped it to more like 40,000 people? Would that make a difference?

danuitti makes some good points although I don't think that we're neccesarily in Iraq "defending our freedom".

The highway death tolls in the USA are about 40,000 per year, and that seems to go UNCHECKED. Speed laws in some states seem to be going up. I guess these states want to be sure that you are DEAD in the event of an accident.

The Youth Suicide rates are at about 20,000 per year. These young people simply are not being taught the right things in schools. I don't know what that is all about.

Death by cancer and heart attack continues to climb, even though miracle medicines seem to be on the rise. But little is done to encourage people to eat right and exercise. Little is done to encourage restaurants to cut out Trans-fats and other known harmful foods.

The 2,531 seems pretty insignificant, but a terrible loss all the same. But is this the price of defending our Freedom? Certainly, the American Revolution, the American Civil War and World War II were fights worth taking on for the sake of Freedom and the American way of life.

If you killed 1 person you are a murderer. I think I know where this is going...you are talking about Bush and the war. I agree that through starting this war Bush has made himself both a terrorist and a murderer. His definition of terrorist is a person who has access to weapons of mass destruction and uses said weopons to instil fear in other people. ?hmmmm...he is the president of the most powerful country with limitless weapons...yup bush is a murderer and a terrorist.

Ask George W Bush and Tony Blair, they've caused thousands of deaths. As as I'm aware nobody has yet successfully been able to have either one arrested for murder even though millions think they should be.
