Spain is the top country that scouts for top star players through the best monetary funding around. The World Cup is every four years which is not beneficial for players because is not considered to cover for the players wages. Also players see it as a risk to injuries that may affect them in their professional career which is their football. Also the World Cup may catch a player in a disadvantaged due to the length of time, meaning the players physical shape state may have changed during that period, because of their age (getting older in a sport hits hard on person even if their in shape) if you know what I mean.
