romantic love is the pursuit of the fair maiden, dinner movies, and the such. True love is an eternal bonding of the soul. When each person knows That they will be together forever. Ask anyone in your hometown who is celebrating a 50th anniversary or longer what true love is My parents were married 65 years. My mom was 83 when she passed. My dad died two weeks later at 87. They married as teenagers. They had their differences and sometimes slept in separate bedrooms but they did have much love and respect for each other.

Not much really. Feeling love for someone means that you want the very best for them. It's an unselfish thing. You can feel that way about your friends, your family ... but romantic love extends to someone with whom you might want to express it more intimately.
