The citizens of the United States have been given the right to vote. However its our option to choose whether or not we exercise that right.

In the USA you're not required to vote. It's your freedom to vote or not to vote. However, it is your patriotic duty.

no one is required to vote. it is just something that you CAN do, if you choose, once you turn a certain age.
