Of course. Dumb question. If you want to see a place where there is no freedom of speech, go to China and write a letter to a newspaper saying Mao was a traitor. Or go to Iran and write a letter to the newspaper saying Mohammud was a child-molester for marrying a 6 year old girl (Aishah). Then you will see how free you are!

To a large extent, yes.
The government (against which the 1st Amendment applies) does very little in the grand scheme to actually prohibit expression. Permits and other administrative requirements must leave ample alternative means, and prior restraints (punishing speech before it is expressed) are very rare outside the national security context.
By and large, the only opposition to our freedom of expression comes from those people who don't like what we're saying. And that's the marketplace of ideas in action.

Yes. You also have the freedom to suffer the consequences of your speech. It's a great country.

We do have freedom of speech but it is restricted on somethings. Like what I mean is people frown and will change the subject. Ex. Christians don't really talk about non believer.

Of course, as long as you don't threaten people. Try making statements just like we see on this website in places like North Korea, most of the middle east, China and see how long they let you live. Yes, we do have freedom of speech.

I think freedom of speech is an expression but so many do abuse it to belittle the actual word of freedom.

To a certain extent we do. We can't string together words that result in a threat or are used to incite. But lately, there's been a current of condemning anyone who uses speech that is not compassionate. We impose our own rules for the most part.

For the most part yes we do. When we can violate our nations security and get away with it, yes we do. When the dissenters of a war can put us in harms way, yes we do. When Illegals can scream because they aren't getting treated right by the country they illegally came to, yes we do. When the KKK can get out and make a speech/march and expect protection, yes we do. The list goes on, and the answer is "Yes we do".

I don't think the answers here is what he is talking about, and even if it is, listen up:
The UN is driving hard to pass legislation binding America to override at least the first two constitutional amendments for the right to free speech and to bear arms. They want dissidents jailed for speaking our against the 2010 government where America is ruled by foreign nationals and a public unable to defend itself from the coming tyranny of the SPP. In fact, in the EU if you have a gun and someone breaks in to kill your family and you shoot them to protect yourself, you go to jail it's your fault. Now that the people are disarmed, now they are considering banning the public from having knifes.
If you think I'm kidding, look it up.
