I have a whole bunch of them, probably a total of 70-80 outfits. Should I sell them like 3 or so per auction or more? Thanks!

And soberangel69, what was your point? I need to sell them to buy more clothes for my kids - you see, they've outgrown the ones I'm selling! Here's an idea! Why don't you not assume that everyone has enough money to donate something that can bring them more money? And I don't do garage sales for very simple reasons - a) I've had them and had people actually steal items that I had marked at a buck and b) I really don't want strangers coming to my house now that I have children. Your answer was completely irrelevant and really quite presumptive. Thanks for having nothing to contribute.

I would do them in 3 lots of 20 outfits each. When people bid, they have a dollar amount in their head that they are willing to spend.
Do a calculated shipping rate, and hide your handling fees. My handling fees are usually $5 for large lots, $2 for each single piece. This will help you cover your ebay fees, & paypal costs if you signed up on paypal. State your terms & conditions. State whether or not your home is smoke free. This is a biggie with kids' clothes! Ebay rules are 7 days for the bidder to pay. You can state less, but I always stick to their rules, to keep being friendly.
Rules that I live by on ebay: Never sell anything with stains or holes, or defects. I never sell anything that I wouldn't want to get myself! Accurately describe each item, say "NWT" or "like new" - if something was washed, but is stain free, it is excellent condition. Like new looks like it was never worn. Nwt = new with tags.
To save money on ebay pictures, I signed up on www.auctiva.com - you can load tons and tons of pictures, without paying ebay's monstrous pic fees. Auctiva now has templates, where you can have backgrounds too. Auctiva's a free service too.
Take pictures of each outfit, separately. This will more accurately describe your items. And, people are more prone to bid/buy these types of auctions, vs. having a whole bunch of outfits laid together on the floor. It also looks more professional.
Don't screw yourself on the prices either. Have a reserve. Best is to open a 99 cent auction, but have a reasonable reserve price. I always figure, how much would I want if I had this in a rummage sale - say $2-3 an outfit, depending on brand names. Brand names I usually say $4-5.
Remember, it's ebay. And with baby clothes, no one will ever want to pay more than rummage/resale shop prices.

I buy on e-bay quite a bit, and what attracts me is not the size of the lot, but the quality. I buy big lots that are marked as "play clothes", good clothes that are a little stained, etc. But if I am looking for dressy stuff, I look for clothes that reflect my girls personalities and will look good on them. I don't really like buying huge lots of nice clothes, because I end up getting several things I don't like. BUT, I see big lots sell for huge prices very frequently!
One thing I will say, try to list several items at the same time, one auction will lead buyers to the others, and shipping discounts will intice them to buy more of your stuff.

I have an idea. Why not go down to the shelter and give the clothes to a young mom who cannot afford to purchase clothes. I have a neighbor who just had a baby and i pass on whatever doesn't fit my son anymore some are brand new, all i ask is for her to pay it forward to someone else. Or if you need the money have a garage sale.

I'd say maybe 3 or 4 pieces per lot. Depending on the outfits. Try to group similar outfits together. They're more likely to sell quicker if they are all just so cute they cant be resisted...
What sizes are you selling? LoL cuz i buy off e-Bay all the time...

Large lots go better for used clothes. See what's on there first and find out what people are going for. It's best to sell the upcoming season's clothing and keep all the same sizes together.

Try to group them in like items. My best friend does this all the time and her lots range from 3 items to 12. I'd group all the summer stuff together, maybe dressy stuff... Not only will it make it easier on you to list, but you can then make more on shipping and not have to go to the post office 80 times! :)
Good luck!
p.s. You could always go to ebay.com and check out which listings have the most bids... smaller or bigger ones

If I were buying baby clothes on ebay, I'd buy them in large lots to save on the shipping. I would buy then grouped by sizes.

It depends on in what condition the clothes are. If the clothes is still practically brand new then you can get some cash for it. But it's up to you.

Sell them like 20 per auction. That way shipping won't be killer and more people will look.
Good luck!
