Arrogant? some of us are, but not most.
Imperialistic? only our fascist leaders are the people are not.
Gun-toting? definitely true, and proud of it.

there is such a place as america
there is such a person as an american citizen
there is such a valid concept as an american citizen's rights
go to any other country and try to get away with that and see how far you get

Same reason any other group of people are the way they are. That is how they were raised. You want to change the views of the county you have to start with the children. Everyone else is too far gone to change.
