i was stopped for driving without insurnce until this time i assumed the car was insured. as i dont own the vehicle and i thought the car was insured will i still get points on my license

MMmmm you end up with the points....

Youve gotta do a producer and the plod wont take anything you say. Your mate has an un-insured car, no crime till he drives it.

If your mate is insured for himself only, and you are insured on another car, IF YOU ARE OVER 21, YOUR insurance covers you.

You will have to live with the points. If you are driving its your responsibility to know that you are driving an Insured car. good luck
