If I was a man, I would. Something as private as your body should be held in high esteem, and when she's willing to give it up so easily for someone she barely knows, then it's also likely she's willing to do the same on her other first dates.
I think it's a special thing to share with a special person so if I were looking for 'the one', she would not fit my specifications.
Being a woman, I would not respect nor want a man who would expect me to be willing to or expect me to do the same. I'd want him to like me enough to wait.

The losing respect thing is well known, but the sad part is that any woman who thinks so little of herself to do that is seeking love, not bad vibes, and this is invariably what she gets. It's a vicious circle, but can only be broken when the woman is comfortable in her own skin. She has to learn how to love herself so that men will treat her with respect, and you only get that when you make the man climb the mountain. Nothing is guaranteed of course, but the main thing in all this is respect for yourself, not waiting to get it from a man.
Hope this helps x

It depends what the man is looking for. Over all he will not loose respect for a woman. But in most cases, a guy will not want to commit into a serious relationship with a woman that sleeps with him on the first date.

Yes, but then they also seem to lose respect for women who only have foreplay with them or even just snog them, even if the men are PhD students or Post-doctoral research scientists. No wonder the intellectual elite can't compete with the f*ckwits to ensure the human race stays above average IQ 100, if men behave like that.

noone respects anything they get too easy, its human nature.
Even if that man does respect her, the woman will feel paranoid that he does'nt respect her anyway... lol
only situation where a girl sleeps with a guy on the first date and this disrespect/paranoia affect not to happen, is for the culture of society to change.
lol btw nice typo always a freind: "thrust" instead of "trust" lmao

In a way, yes. I think it's the old "alpha male" thing - to feel that it is our charm/looks/wit/cash that has won over the lady - but if she goes all the way on the first night there is always the feeling of "too easy" and that if we could get it so easily, then anyone else could.
(this is purely from observing peoples behaviour, I'm not saying women are easy for going on the first date before I offend any feminists!)

No. They don't lose respect as they never had it in the first place. You can't lose something you do not have. If you want to be respected and loved for who you are; you do not allow abusive people to abuse your body in order to gain acceptance or respect from them. You will never get it so treasure yourself.

I have never lost any respect for women who have slept with me on a first date, for that reason.
